Where to enjoy a spooktacular Halloween: The top Halloween Events taking place across the UK

Yes, it’s that time of year again. Halloween is officially upon us. But, knocking on strangers doors and exchanging sweets and chocolates might be a bit too frightening for some in 2020! And whilst parties of more than 6 are certainly too scary for the Government to handle, it’s clear that many of us Brits are still determined to celebrate one way or another. So, here’s a run down of some of the UK’s most spooktacular Halloween events to check out this year.

What Halloween events are taking place across the UK this year?

This year, over 2,300 Halloween celebrations are scheduled to happen up and down the country – and Eventbrite has seen a growing trend emerge for event creators coming up with weird, wacky and quite frankly, terrifying, Halloween experiences…

So whether you fancy sleeping over in a haunted house, playing a game of Halloween bingo or even treating yourself to Halloween burlesque show (yes, it’s a thing…), there’s an event out there for you.

Halloween Land Manchester

Halloween-Land: Manchester’s Biggest Halloween Festival: 2nd November, Manchester
With over 5000 people and 12 attractions Halloween land is a real show stopper. Highlights include the Festival of The Dead Circus Show,Oktoberfest Grotto, fairground rides and immersive walkabout characters.

Vout-O-Reenees arts members club, Halloween Event

The Death of Art Halloween Costume Party: 2nd & 3rd November, London
Sweet ‘Art invites you to The Death of Art next arty party and exhibition. The event is hosted in the aptly decadent Vout-O-Reenees arts members club, housed in the crypt of a gothic church. The party will be running alongside our visual art exhibition, showcasing the work of over 30 artists. Dress code: Think horrifying artworks, dead and decaying artists, and murderous makers.

Pulp Fiction vs. Fear & Loathing Halloween Special

Pulp Fiction vs. Fear & Loathing Halloween Special: 31st October – 1st November, Bristol
Take a walk on the wild side as we pay homage to Hunter S. Thompson’s cult classic and delve into a psychedelic fantasy world! Going up against this twisted Las Vegas fantasy is the equally dark and gritty Tarantino, Pulp Fiction.

Rocky Horror Halloween Special event

Rocky Horror Halloween Special: 1st November – 2nd November, Carlton
Kick-off the evening with a sumptuous three-course meal designed especially for the occasion. There will be fabulously bizarre entertainment throughout the evening to keep you suitably engaged and then dance the night until 1 am with our resident DJ incorporating top tunes from the show.

Abstinent Event Halloween Sobar Rave: 1st November, Nottingham
Sobar Cafe, a contemporary booze-free cafe on Friar Lane will be staying open late and turning into a scarefest. They plan to celebrate their opening event in style ! Expect, house,tech house, groovy beats and dance classics throughout the night.

London’s Biggest Halloween Pub Crawl: 31st October – 1st November, London
More than 500 zombies, superheroes, sexy ladies, monsters, witches, ghosts and so on – will crawl to 4 Bars/Club in Central London. Ending the night in one of the biggest clubs in Central London: Tiger Tiger. So get ready to wear fantastic costumes and party all night long!

Halloween Murder Mystery Evening: 1st November, York
This murder mystery story is about two local Ghost Hunters who have come to tell everyone about their services and inspire interest and understanding in their unusual arts. The atmosphere will be electric as it is All Saints’ Day, also known as All Souls’ Day, which stems from a very strong belief that there is a powerful spiritual bond between those in heaven and the living.
