It’s Crunch Time; Subway To Offer Crisp Sandwiches From Today
Are you even British if you don’t enjoy a crisp sandwich?
For all of you crisp butty fans, we have great news – you can now get one on the go from the subway!
That’s right, from today, the high street sandwich company will be offering Walkers ready salted crisps as a topping option to its scrummy sarnies.
From today, Subway customers will be asked if they want “crisp in” or “crisp out” on their order – it’ll cost you an extra 20p though!
Crisp sarnie lovers need to be quick though as the new addition is only available until 23rd May.
Fernando Kahane, from Walkers, said: âAs a nation, we may not agree on everything, but we are united in the fact that a lunchtime sandwich without crisps is just not the same.”
So far public opinion is very much in favour of the new menu addition:
One social media user Tweeted: “Crisps inside subs?? i’m DOWN”
Another added: “Been doing this with my @DoritosUK packet for years… who doesnât love a crisp sarnie!?”
However, some social media commentators were more sceptical, claiming that it is a waste of money:
“Would it not be cheaper & safer to do a crisp sandwich @home?”
