Is Trump About to Pardon Tiger King’s Joe Exotic?
Joe Exotic’s lawyers are believed to be expecting Donald Trump to pardon the King of Netflix before his presidency comes to an end tomorrow.
Joe Exotic, who shot to fame just ten months ago when Tiger King captivated audiences worldwide, is currently serving a 22-year stint in prison for animal abuse and murder for hire charges against rival big cat owner Carole Baskin.
Pardons are usually given at the very end of a president’s term, but with less than 24 hours to go, there’s still no sign of whether or not he’ll grant Joe his freedom.
Exotic’s lawyers are rumoured to be so confident that the big cat lover will be released by order of the president that they have a limo on standby for him at FMC Prison in Fort Worth Texas, where he’s currently serving out his jail time.
Exotic’s legal team is being headed up by Eric Love who told the Sun:
The limo will go straight to 800 West Weatherford Street, to the law office, we’ll pick up members there… they’ll go out and sit until the gate is released… Once he’s picked up we are not going to have any cameras with us, it’ll be a private moment.
He also made comments about Joe’s iconic appearance saying that he wouldn’t look the same as when he went into prison:
Joe’s gotta have that platinum done, that’s why we’ve got hair, wardrobe and make-up. We’ve got the best in the business.
This time tomorrow, we’re going to be celebrating. We have good reason to believe it will come through.
There’s yet to be an official statement from The Whitehouse surrounding the rumours of Joe Exotic’s exit from the clink, but hey, stranger things have happened recently. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Has anyone given Carole the heads up yet? 😳
