Toy Story 3 in real life!
Two brothers, Mason and Morgan McGrew from Iowa, USA decided that they loved the Toy Story 3 movie so much (can you blame them) that they took it upon themselves to recreate the entire thing in real life with stop motion and their iPhone only, amazing, right? Well, it was worth it, because all this effort created the masterpiece that is ‘Toy Story in Real Life’.
The McDrew brothers must have the patience of a saint because the entire project took them 8 YEARS in total and they began shooting the footage at the young ages of 12 and 15. This incredible idea came from their love of the film and the result ended up with a 1hr 39minute masterpiece that they have since uploaded to YouTube for everyone to enjoy.
You might be wondering how they managed to achieve such a creation?! Well, they used a mixture of software including iMovie, Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro, accompanied by the real audio taken from the 2010 movie and of course, the entire Toy Story gang in doll form. For each frame taken, the characters would have been subtly moved to create a pattern of consistent movement once edited together. The hard work and dedication that went into making this is admirable and has created entertainment for the masses. Hats off to you Mason and Morgan McGrew.
